While I know there are Integral formulations along the lines of " god in the first, second and third person" that speak to this, I am not sure i am comfortable with that formulation given the history of the word "god" and it's definition in the minds of the vast majority of people. I also don't really find I have much use for terms that in common usage refer to a supernatural metaphysics that I find fantastical (indeed delusional) and beside the point.

Given that it is the LOHAS community that zaadz/gaia operates in and that attracts the audience for Integral Theory, it is to be expected that the New Age worldview will dominate discourse in this ouevre. So the distortions of this worldview are the lingua franca not only in the predictable general discourse on popular spirituality here, but also (in perhaps less obvious ways) in the exploration and application of Integral Theory.

Part One of Zeitgeist is a bit of a heartbreaker for me, because it does a very poor job of unfolding two subjects I hold very dear - 1) a critique of religion and 2) an exploration of mythology. Unfortunately it covers both these subjects rather poorly and, even more unfortunately, links them to a seeming elevation of astrology… Well of course, religion is just silly, but astrology, now there's something respectable, right?
